Síndrome del diente fisurado: una revisión de literatura
Resumen
El síndrome del diente fisurado es una de las principales causas de pérdida dental después de la caries y la enfermedad periodontal. Se caracteriza por una ruptura dentro de la estructura del diente, lo que causa dolor e incomodidad en el paciente, es por tal motivo que nuestro objetivo es analizar el síndrome del diente fisurado como una afección estomatológica común, abordando su etiología, métodos diagnósticos, tratamiento y repercusión en la salud dental. Para la siguiente revisión de literatura se realizó una búsqueda en bases de datos como PubMed, Scopus, Scielo, Dialnet y Google Scholar. Se seleccionaron 31 artículos que cumplían con los criterios establecidos. Después de un exhaustivo análisis concluimos que, la implementación de medidas preventivas y el diagnóstico temprano del SDF es esencial para prevenir complicaciones que comprometan la estructura dental, la pulpa y los tejidos periodontales y qué, el manejo clínico depende de la severidad y localización de la fisura, siendo las restauraciones indirectas y el tratamiento endodóncico las opciones más usuales.
