Inflación en los servicios de salud: tendencia global en medicamentos, equipos y suministro médicos
Resumen
La inflación de los precios de la atención médica ha superado sistemáticamente a la inflación general en la mayoría de las economías desarrolladas y en desarrollo, con efectos especialmente pronunciados en los sectores farmacéuticos y de equipos médicos. El objetivo del estudio fue Analizar la inflación en los servicios de salud: tendencia global en medicamentos, equipos y suministro médicos. La metodologia aplicada fue de tipo documental, descriptivo y se utilizaron diversos motores de búsqueda de artículos científicos, entre los que se encuentran Scielo, Elsevier, PubMed y Google Académico. Los resultados principales mostraron que los factores más relevantes identificados en diversas regiones incluyen el aumento de los precios de medicamentos debido a monopolios en tratamientos para enfermedades graves; existio un crecimiento sostenido en los costos a nivel global, en Norteamérica, el gasto en dispositivos médicos alcanzó miles de millones de dólares. Las estrategias más efectivas incluyen la implementación de controles de precios, el uso de medicamentos genéricos y la optimización de la cadena de suministro. Se concluyo finalmente que la inflación de la atención sanitaria varía según la región, uno de los principales factores es el aumento del costo de los medicamentos debido a la falta de recursos en la industria farmacéutica y en los países en desarrollo; los aumentos recientes en el costo de los suministros y equipos médicos a nivel mundial han sido extremadamente altos, y en países desarrollados se han realizado inversiones; la inflación de precios en la atención médica estaría controlada por el precio, medicamentos genéricos.
