Enzimas hepáticas y resistencia a la insulina en pacientes diabéticos tipo 2 del Laboratorio BioMedic. Jipijapa, 2023

Resumen


Estudios recientes han informado la elevación sérica de aspartato aminotransferasa, alanino aminotransferasa y gamma-glutamiltransferasa como factores de riesgo para el desarrollo de diabetes mellitus tipo 2 y otros trastornos cardiometabólicos, que podría, además, exacerbar la resistencia a la insulina. El objetivo fue analizar las enzimas hepáticas y resistencia a la insulina en pacientes diabéticos tipo 2 del Laboratorio BioMedic. Jipijapa, 2023. Se realizó un estudio de tipo analítico, transversal y retrospectivo. La muestra fue censal a partir del registro de 200 pacientes seleccionados bajo criterios de inclusión y exclusión, 42% del sexo masculino y 58% del femenino. Las concentraciones séricas de las enzimas hepáticas evaluadas fueron significativamente altas (p<0,001) con respecto a sus respectivos grupos basales. Se evidenciaron diferencias (p<0,0001) entre los valores del modelo homeostático de resistencia a la insulina HOMA-IR tanto en los hombres (12,2±11,7), como en las mujeres (9,35±7,75) al comparar con valores normales (1,85±0,5 y 1,65±0,44, respectivamente). Se demuestra que la disfunción hepática evidenciada por alteraciones en los niveles de las enzimas estudiadas está asociada al riesgo de resistencia a la insulina en los pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 estudiados, lo que supone una carga sanitaria importante y un riesgo cardiometabólico alto que se debe atender y disminuir con la aplicación de estrategias de intervención efectivas.
