Psoriasis en el adulto y principales factores de riesgo para su presentación. Una revisión de la literatura

Resumen


La psoriasis es una enfermedad crónica caracterizada por inflamación que tiene múltiples factores causales. En el presente trabajo, mediante revisión de la literatura se examina la incidencia de diversos factores de riesgo en el curso y exacerbación de esta enfermedad en pacientes adultos. Se analizan tanto factores inmodificables como la predisposición genética, edad y sexo, así como factores variables que incluyen al consumo de alcohol, el tabaquismo, obesidad, sedentarismo y estrés psicológico. A consecuencia de no ser una enfermedad con una etiología identificada es de suma importancia evidenciar la asociación entre sus exacerbantes y determinar la importancia de factores ambientales, con el fin realizar un manejo integral, mejorar así el bienestar del paciente y sus expectativas de recuperación.
