Efectos psicológicos y satisfacción laboral del personal de enfermería en áreas críticas durante la pandemia

Resumen


El Covid-19 ha afectado a nivel mundial la salud mental y física de los profesionales de enfermería que han estado en el cuidado directo de pacientes infectados con este virus y como consecuencia ha repercutido en la satisfacción laboral. Se plantea como objetivo analizar los efectos psicológicos prevalentes que influyeron en el bienestar laboral de los profesionales en unidades críticas durante la pandemia. Esta investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo, mediante la revisión de artículos científicos de distintas bases de datos, se establecieron palabras claves, con una población de 272 artículos y se seleccionó 50 artículos en inglés y español, mediante criterios de exclusión e inclusión, organizando la información en matrices. Obteniendo como principales resultados que las condiciones más comunes entre los trabajadores eran la ansiedad, depresión y Síndrome de Burnout, debido a largas horas de trabajo, la percepción de un elevado riesgo de infección, escasez de equipo de protección, soledad, separación de la familia, falta de personal y experiencia en servicios críticos a los que fueron asignados y que a su vez influyó en el desempeño y bienestar laboral de los trabajadores de enfermería. Concluyendo que la salud mental del personal se vio afectada por factores tanto laborales como psicológicos y sociales, lo que repercutió en su rendimiento y bienestar laboral. Los sistemas de salud y futuras investigaciones deben enfocarse en estrategias y medidas de prevención para disminuir el impacto psicológico, ya que esto podría repercutir en la satisfacción laboral y la calidad de atención a los pacientes.
