Gangrena de Fournier: Diagnóstico, fisiopatología, manejo conservador y tratamiento quirúrgico, un artículo de revisión

Resumen


La Gangrena de Fournier (GF)es una patología de gran relevancia clínica, la cual requiere un diagnóstico para evitar posibles complicaciones en el paciente. Se caracteriza por ser un proceso infeccioso que compromete la fascia y tejido celular subcutáneo del área genital. Puede tener distintas etiologías; sin embargo, la infección bacteriana es la causa de esta afección en la mayoría de los pacientes. Materiales y métodos: Para la creación de esta revisión bibliográfica se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva mediante la selección de artículos en repositorios web académicos de alto reconocimiento científico; mismos que encaminan específicamente a encontrar archivos de calidad con validez, desde el 2019 hasta la actualidad. Resultados: El protocolo de tratamiento más efectivo consiste en la administración de antibióticos de amplio espectro junto con desbridamiento quirúrgico de emergencia. Comúnmente para la reconstrucción son usados injertos de piel y una variedad de colgajos.
