Evaluando la contribución al desarrollo sostenible de una aplicación móvil en Riobamba, Ecuador
Resumen
Globalmente el turismo es considerado como actividad que contribuye al desarrollo sostenible y actualmente existe un incremento constante en la demanda de turistas que buscan alternativas que incluyan experiencias basadas en la interacción con la cultura de las poblaciones locales a la vez que se aprecia el entorno del territorio bajo principios de sostenibilidad, la cual ha sido definida como un desarrollo que mantiene un equilibrio entre sus dimensiones: ambiental, económica y socio-cultural. Este estudio tiene por objetivo identificar en un contexto general la influencia de la aplicación móvil “RutasRio” en el desarrollo sostenible a través de una metodología de estudio de caso basada en una investigación cualitativa mediante el análisis de las percepciones de los involucrados identificados. Los resultados obtenidos proporcional información sobre la influencia de la aplicación móvil en los principios pertenecientes a las tres dimensiones de la sostenibilidad, revelando una visión general de dichas interacciones. Sin embargo, estudios adicionales y un mayor nivel de profundidad son necesarios a fin de comprender a profundidad las relaciones asociadas al uso de herramientas de innovación tecnológica y su influencia en el desarrollo sostenible.
