El impacto del cuidado de enfermería en la recuperación del paciente crítico: evidencias y desafíos en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos

Resumen


El impacto del cuidado de enfermería en la recuperación de pacientes críticos en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) es crucial para mejorar los resultados clínicos y la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la influencia de las intervenciones de enfermería en la recuperación de pacientes críticos y los desafíos enfrentados por las enfermeras en las UCI. Se llevó a cabo una revisión bibliográfica sistemática de artículos publicados entre 2017 y 2023 en revistas científicas revisadas por pares. La muestra incluyó estudios que abordaron el impacto del cuidado de enfermería en las UCI, utilizando técnicas de extracción de datos y síntesis cualitativa. Los resultados revelaron que las intervenciones de enfermería, como la movilización temprana, el manejo del dolor, y el apoyo emocional, mejoran significativamente los resultados clínicos y reducen las complicaciones. Las conclusiones indican que ratios adecuados de enfermera-paciente y la formación continua son esenciales para optimizar la atención en UCI. La discusión sugiere la necesidad de políticas que apoyen estas intervenciones y más investigaciones para adaptar estrategias en diversos contextos culturales y económicos.
