Avances en la Etiología, Diagnóstico y Tratamiento del Melanoma. Revisión bibliográfica

Resumen


El presente artículo tiene como objetivo investigar los impactos del melanoma en la salud tegumentaria. Se busca proporcionar una visión integral de las técnicas actuales y los avances recientes en la detección y manejo de esta patología. Se realizó una revisión exhaustiva de bases de datos académicas y científicas como PUBMED y SCOPUS, centrándose en estudios publicados entre 2019 y 2024. Los principales resultados de la investigación realizada revelaron que el melanoma es influenciado por una variedad de factores de riesgo, incluyendo la exposición a rayos UV, antecedentes familiares de cáncer de piel, y genotipos como la mutación BRAF. Además, el tratamiento, se identificaron avances en inmunoterapia y terapias dirigidas, como pembrolizumab y dabrafenib, que han mejorado las tasas de supervivencia y la calidad de vida. También, la importancia de la detección temprana y manejo adecuado del melanoma, enfatizando la necesidad de educación pública sobre prevención y reconocimiento de signos de alerta. Si bien se ha aprendido mucho sobre esta patología, se destacan los desafíos en la identificación de biomarcadores predictivos y el desarrollo de tratamientos más personalizados.
